These terms govern your use of moteltrip.com, operated by MotelTrip ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The directory
MotelTrip lists independent motels across the United States so travelers can find them. We are not a motel, a booking agent or a travel agency. We do not take reservations or payments for stays, and we are not a party to any arrangement between you and a motel.
Listings may be out of date
Motels open, close, change owners, change names and change prices, often without telling anyone. We work to keep listings accurate, but we cannot guarantee that any listing's status, address, phone number, rates, amenities or photos are current or correct. Always confirm directly with the motel before you travel. Listings are not endorsements, and our descriptions and labels such as "closed" or "renamed" reflect our best information at the time.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Give accurate information. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
What you submit
When you add a motel, upload photos, claim a listing or report an issue, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. For photos, that means you took them or have the owner's permission. You keep ownership of what you submit, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, edit and adapt it on MotelTrip and in promoting MotelTrip. We may edit, decline or remove any submission.
Claiming a listing
Only a motel's owner or an authorized manager may claim its listing. We may ask for proof and may decline or revoke a claim. Approving a claim does not make the listing yours; we still decide what the directory shows.
Acceptable use
Do not: submit false or misleading information, impersonate a motel or a person, post anything unlawful or infringing, scrape or copy the directory in bulk, overload or attack the site, or try to get around its security or spam protection.
Our content
The site's design, text, compilation of listings and our own photos belong to MotelTrip. You may share links and quote small parts with credit; do not republish the directory or substantial parts of it.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on MotelTrip infringes your copyright, email admin@moteltrip.com with the page link, a description of the work, and your contact details. We will review it and remove material where appropriate.
Links to other sites
Listings link to motels' own websites and to map services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MotelTrip is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a listing, your stay at a motel, or your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to $100.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which MotelTrip's operator is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state.
